It is with great pleasure that we invite you and your colleagues on behalf of Webster University and of our collaborating institution, St. Louis Community College, to participate in the Annual Meeting of the interdisciplinary Midwest Association for Latin American Studies (MALAS) to be held in St. Louis on the home campus of Webster University at Webster Groves [Friday] and the nearby campus of St. Louis Community College at Meramec [Saturday] from November 11 - 13, 2004. The conference, whose theme is Latin America at the Crossroads / América Latina en la Encrucijada, promises to be an exciting event. A number of sessions and papers have been proposed and we are still looking for more sessions and paper presenters!
The MALAS conference remains an excellent opportunity among professional and academic association meetings. The all-inclusive registration fee: $85 full professional rate with early pre-conference registration includes access to paper sessions PLUS Thursday reception, Friday night banquet followed by entertainment, and Saturday luncheon.
